PhoneTemperature operates on a minimum data collection principle to protect your privacy:

• Thermal Data: Temperature readings analyzed only on your device, no data uploaded to servers
• App Preferences: Settings such as theme, language preferences (stored only on your device)
• Analytics Data: App performance and error reports (optional, anonymous)

Information Not Collected:

• Personal identification information (name, surname, email, phone)
• Location information
• Thermal data (no temperature readings are sent to servers)
• User profile information

2. Use of Information

All monitoring in PhoneTemperature happens on your device:

• Thermal Monitoring: Temperature readings and analysis happen entirely on your device, no data sent to servers
• Performance Analysis: Device thermal performance monitoring and analytics happen on your device
• App Settings: Preferences such as theme, language, and monitoring settings are stored only on your device

Data Sent to Servers:

• Optional anonymous error reports (user preference)

3. Information Sharing

PhoneTemperature does not share your thermal data or personal data with third parties:

• Thermal Data: No temperature readings are uploaded to servers or shared with third parties
• Data Collection: No data sharing with advertising networks or analytics services
• No Purchase Data: PhoneTemperature is completely free with no in-app purchases

Exceptions:

• Legal obligations and court orders (however, your photos are not stored on servers anyway)
• With user's explicit consent (optional anonymous error reports)

4. Data Security

PhoneTemperature's security approach:

• On-Device Monitoring: All thermal monitoring happens on your device, no data is sent to servers
• Native Sensors: Platform-native thermal sensors and monitoring APIs are used
• Offline Operation: Works completely offline without internet connection
• Secure Monitoring: Thermal monitoring operations are done securely with system APIs
• Permission Management: Only necessary permissions are requested and clearly explained
• Background Processing - To continue thermal monitoring when app is backgrounded (Android only) - Updates temperature every 5 seconds for persistent protection
• Persistent Notifications - To show continuous thermal monitoring alerts in status bar (Android) - Can be dismissed but will restart automatically
• Wake Lock - To keep device awake for critical thermal monitoring (Android only) - Used only when overheating is detected
• Code Security: Regular security updates and code reviews

Server Side:

• Optional anonymous error reports are processed securely
• No thermal data or personal information is stored on servers

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

PhoneTemperature does not use cookies or tracking technologies:

• No advertising tracking
• No third-party analytics services used
• No user behavior tracking
• No cookies used

Technologies Used:

• App preferences are stored only on your device (AsyncStorage)
• Thermal monitoring settings are stored only on your device
• Optional anonymous error reports (user preference)

6. User Rights (GDPR/KVKK)

PhoneTemperature protects your following rights under GDPR/KVKK:

• Right to Information: PhoneTemperature collects minimum data and all data is stored on your device
• Right to Request Information: You can view data on your device from within the app
• Right to Correction: You can change your app preferences at any time
• Right to Deletion: You can delete all local data by deleting the app
• Right to Object: You can turn off optional anonymous error reports
• Right to Portability: Your data is already portable since it's on your device

Important: Since PhoneTemperature does not store your thermal data or personal data on servers, data deletion requests are unnecessary. All data is already on your device.

7. Children\'s Privacy

PhoneTemperature does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. Since the app already collects minimum data and all monitoring happens on the device, children's privacy is fully protected. Parents can delete all local data by deleting the app.

8. International Data Transfer

PhoneTemperature does not transfer data:

• Your thermal data remains on your device, no readings are sent to servers
• App preferences are stored only on your device
• Premium status is stored only on your device

Exceptions:

• In-app purchase verification is managed by Apple (USA) and Google (USA)
• Optional anonymous error reports (user preference)

9. Policy Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When significant changes occur:

• In-app notification is sent
• Email notification is made
• Announcement is published on the website
• Changes are notified 30 days before they take effect

By continuing to use the app after changes take effect, you accept the changes.

11. Legal Basis

This privacy policy has been prepared in accordance with Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK) and related legislation. All our data processing activities are carried out within the framework of legal bases.
